Clean Value Plastics (CVP) is a company that specializes in recycling of contaminated plastics. The company became known for its patented HydroDyn technology that has set standards in the plastics recycling industry.[citation needed]

Organizational history

CVP was founded in 2005 and had its origins in an engineering office with a focus on implementation of technological processes. During this time, industrial clients were consulted and various technological processes implemented successfully.[citation needed]

With the birth of CVP, the company focused on the recycling industry. Combining the expertise of industrial processes and knowledge in the recycling industry, the HydroDyn technology was patented.[1] CVP delivers state-of-the-art technology[2] and provides services that enhance efficiency of recycling plants.[citation needed]

Patented technology

In 2007, the first recycling plant with the patented HydroDyn technology by CVP was built for the waste management company Sita[3] near Leipzig in Germany. A second PET recycling plant with the HydroDyn technology was built in 2010 for the company Meister Recycling[4] near Fulda in Germany.

HydroDyn is a process that originated from the refiner technology that is known from the timber and paper industry. Contaminated plastic wastes are purified within a close-loop water circuit. A hydrodynamic friction washing process allows for savings potential in plastics recycling and results in decontaminated plastic goods that are free from cellulose and adhesives. The patented HydroDyn process requires no use of chemicals in plastics recycling so that there is less contamination of the environment and decreased costs of plastics recycling.[citation needed]
