The Church of St. Ambrose is a former Roman Catholic parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 539 W. 54th Street in Manhattan, New York City. The parish was established in 1897.^[2] St. Ambrose is the patron saint of Italy, reflecting an original Italian congregation. The architect of the church was John Vredenburgh Van Pelt.^[1] In 1938, it was suppressed.
