He is most famously known as a member of the contemporary R&B and Pop quintet boy band, SHINee, under SM Entertainment.

Biography
Minho was born on December 9, 1991 in Incheon, South Korea. He graduated from Konkuk University's affiliated high school on February 10, 2010. After taking the college admissions test the previous year, he was admitted to the year 2010 of Konkuk’s part-time admittance for the arts and culture film major where he is currently attending.[2] His father, Choi Yun-Gyeom, is a well-known South Korean soccer coach. He has an older brother named Choi Minseok.
Career
SHINee
Main article: SHINeeMinho is known as Flaming Charisma Minho and he was casted in the 2006 S.M. Casting System. He is the main rapper of the group. He has also written rap parts for some of SHINee's songs, such as "Get it".
Other activities
Before debuting with SHINee, Minho modelled for Ha Sang Baek's Seoul Collection F/W 08-09 in March.[3]
In 2008 he was the 3rd Youth International Video Festival "the aura" Goodwill Ambassador with fellow SHINee member, Key. Minho has been appointed as the ambassador of Konkuk University 2010. On May 23, 2011, he was named Honorary ambassador for Youth 2011.[4] He then received a name plate at the Youth Week celebration held in the COEX auditorium.
Minho hosts MBC's Music Core, alongside fellow SHINee member, Onew.[5] But due to oversea schedules, they are on temporary leave.[6] He is a permanent cast member in KBS's Let's Go Dream Team! Season 2.[7] He is often dubbed as the "Ace" of the show, having won the challenges at numerous occasions. He was also a permanent cast member in the KBS program Oh! My School, also known as 100 Points Out of 100 ,[8]
On October 3, 2011, Minho co-hosted the Hallyu Dream Concert held at the Kyungju Citizen Stadium alongside 2PM’s Taecyeon and actress Park Shin Hye which was broadcasted on October 6, 2011 by Mnet Broadcasting Station.[9] On October 6, 2011, Minho alongside KARA's Nicole helped in the torch run for the opening ceremony of the 92nd National Sports Festival held on Goyang, Gyeonggi Province which featuring 17,983 athletes. [10]
On October 16, 2011, Minho won Let's Go Dream Team Season 2 ACE Special episode and took away a Kia Cadenza (k7) home.
Personal life
Last March 2010, Minho was injured during a filming for Dream Team Season 2. He had to withdraw from his activities while his fellow SHINee member Taemin replaced him on the show during his absence.[11][12] After his recovery, Minho finally came back last August 2010 to continue his activities and promotions of SHINee's second full length studio album, "Lucifer".[13]
Minho is known by the general public for his athletic skills by topping numerous TV surveys on Athletic Idols.
