Chandra Embuldeniya is the Vice Chancellor (Founder), Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka the first all entrepreneurial university in Sri Lanka.

He is a graduate of University of Peradeniya in Mathematics and was educated at Nalanda College Colombo.

He was President of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL), President of the Business Council for Sustainable Development of Sri Lanka, Chairman of Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand Economic Co-operation (BIMST-EC) Business Forum.
