'70s on 7 (or just The '70s) is a commercial-free, satellite radio channel on the Sirius XM Radio platform. It plays music from the 1970s, mostly being the hits, although the program list has shrunk considerably since Jon Clay was fired as Program Director. The current Sirius XM official supervising the '70s on 7, Steve Blatter, like his predecessor Jon Zellner, prefer to limit the playlist to music that is highly familiar and refuse to play many of the lower charting songs from the '70s that Clay allowed. As part of the Sirius/XM merger on November 12, 2008, The '70s was merged with Sirius' Totally '70s on Sirius channel 7, XM channel 7 and Dish Network 6007, and took its current name. As of February 9, 2010, Direct TV has dropped the Sirius XM programming in favor of SonicTap.

Much like the other decades channels, '70s on 7 attempts to recreate the feel of 1970s radio. They use similar DJ techniques, jingles, '70s slang, and news updates. Due to being commercial free, they do not recreate any sponsor spots. The channel was also used for XM's annual pop music chronology, IT.

The original XM "70s on 7" channel made a strong effort to reproduce the smooth, velvety '70s FM sound rather than the chatty "morning drive" sound that Sirius favored. After the XM-Sirius merger the "morning drive" sound became "official" sound of the '70s channel. The channel also features the unique "Jukebox of Dynamite," wherein an alleged listener selects a "cheesy" song for the segment and accentuates the "70s on 7"'s self-mocking tone.

The '70s on 7 is the fourth most listened to station on the XM service, with a cume of 667,400 listeners per week, according to Arbitron analysis.[1]
