John Lennox is a Christian mathematician.

Lennox was born in Northern Ireland and read undergraduate mathematics at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. In 1970, Lennox received his doctorate for his thesis "Centrality and Permutability in Soluble Groups". He was then a Reader in Pure Mathematics at the University of Wales before moving to Green College, Oxford as a Research Fellow in Mathematics and the Philosophy of Science and Pastoral Advisor.
