Star Boxing, is a Bronx, New York based boxing promotion company founded by Joe DeGuardia a former Golden Gloves Champion and District Attorney in the Bronx. Star Boxing has been in operation since 1992. Over the years, Star Boxing’s growing staff has worked to produce some of the most exciting and memorable boxing events in recent history.

Since its founding, the company has promoted several world class events such as the Antonio Tarver v Roy Jones Jr. trilogy which is the second highest revenue producing PPV trilogy in history behind the heavyweight showdown between Riddick Bowe and Evander Holyfield. In addition to its nationwide shows and promotions, Star has also implemented a series of boxing shows at the Paradise Theatre in the Bronx, NY. The ever-so popular, continually growing series, “Punchin at the Paradise,” which first took place in December 2006, continues to bring world class fights and exciting nights of boxing to the New York area each time out.

In a continuing effort to create and produce unique events for boxing fans, and with a pioneering view towards the future, Star Boxing partnered with GoFightLive.TV in October of 2007 to bring live boxing webcasts to a worldwide audience. On January 31st 2008 Go Fight Live offered its first installment of “World Fight Night USA,” which aired the 8th edition of Star Boxing’s “Punchin at the Paradise.” The show had fans all over the world tuning in to watch the fights live on their computers.

Star Boxing has established itself as one of the leaders in the boxing industry. Star continues to grow produce great events and develop boxing talent. Many in boxing expect Star Boxing to become the elite boxing promotional company in the industry.
