Weaner Madl'n

Weaner Madl'n ("Viennese Girls"), op, 388, is a waltz composed by Karl Michael Ziehrer during his tenure as bandmaster of the Hoch und-Deutschmeister Regiment,cite web |url=http://www.naxosdirect.com/title/8.223817 |title=Ziehrer: Selected Dances and Marches |accessdate=2008-10-05|publisher=NaxosDirect] and was first performed in January 1888. It is one of Ziehrer's most famous compositions. The introduction of the waltz features a whistling theme, a novelty of Ziehrer.
