Cova da Beira IPR

Cova da Beira IPR

Cova da Beira is a Portuguese wine region centered around the Cova da Beira region between the Dão and Vinho Verde DOCs. The region has the second tier "Indicação de Proveniencia Regulamentada" (IPR) classification and may some day be promoted to "Denominação de Origem Controlada" (DOC). The Cova da Beira IPR is the largest IPR in Portugal in terms of land planted with vines. The region produces a broad range of wines similar to those found through the Beiras VR but is primarily known for its light bodied red wines. T.
