Trinity Bible College

Trinity Bible College

Trinity Bible College is a private college in Ellendale, North Dakota affiliated with the Assemblies of God church. The school was first founded in Devils Lake in 1948, but after several moves, settled in Ellendale in 1972 where it assumed ownership of the former campus of the North Dakota State Normal and Industrial School for a mere $1 and an agreement to upgrade the campus and facilities. The school primarily offers instruction in religion, with small programs in business, teacher education, and fine arts.

The school has gained attention in recent years due to its struggling football team, which once lost a game to Rockford College by a score of 105 to 0, as chronicled in the 2005 book "Keeping the Faith" by Shawn Fury. The school's sports teams are members of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). They were in the news in the fall of 2005 when Northwestern College located in Minnesota scheduled a football doubleheader (two games in the same day), the first of which against Trinity. The football team was also a member of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference from 1997 to 2007.
