eries 14: General overview/plot

Series 14 of ChuckleVision started with the brothers sent to Dan the Van's Gran's house to guard a very valuable ruby. That night at a party, the Brothers had the safe locked while these guests were around:Tatlock, an owner of a Mill Factory Sir Carrington-Smith, a secret agent working for MI7, later MI2. Canon Pettigrew, a rich businessman. The Brothers had trouble getting the safe open, before Barry remembered the combination and opened it, to discover the ruby had been stolen, resulting in the brothers going on a mission (Safe and Sound). They went to Tatlock's mill first, finding out that the mill's workers still thought it was the 19th century! When interrogating Tatlock, they found out he had made a machine called the "Clattering Ruby", which Paul ended up wrecking... before the workers came back to Tatlock (Trouble at the Mill). The Brother's next suspect was Sir Carrington-Smith. They discovered that his home was semi-automatic with all mod cons built in. Carrington-Smith allowed them to join MI7 (Flat and Apartmental), where they were sent for training at a special centre, having the Brothers ending up looking after a donkey (On the Hoof). The Brothers found out that the Ruby was part of a Weather Machine created by Professor Rex Frimly. Soon after, Frimly was captured by Maddie, an evil super-criminal trying to get the Weather Machine herself. The Brothers found a clue that led to the location of several components for the Weather Machine (Out of this World). While searching for the Weather Machine, the Brothers were followed by Murk, an agent working for Maddie. A second clue was revealed shortly after at Frimly’s home (All Clued Up). The Brothers were on the search for the other components: A computer chip (Chips That Pass in the Night), a green sphere and a medallion concealed on the necklace of MC Ugly. A mysterious man appeared at Paul and Barry's hideout, just as the components went missing again (Mission Implausible). When checking the Professor's house, Barry had his body switched with a cat, then a spider. Barry got his own body back in the end (Barry the Spider).Later, the Brothers infiltrated Maddie's organisation in order to rescue Professor Frimly, only to discover he was under mind-control by Maddie, and trapped the Brothers in a chamber (The Hidden Genius), and had a robot guard the door. The Brothers, with help from No Slacking, shook the robot off, to find out it missed it's companion (Run Robot Run). The Brothers managed to get a duplicate ruby off Dan the Van (Do As You Are Bid), and used it to host a magic show to get all the suspects back to Gran's house. At the show, they discovered that Canon Pettigrew was, in fact, Maddie in disguise. She stole the duplicate Ruby and made her escape (That Ol' Chuckle Magic). The Brothers, determined to finally capture Maddie, became members of the Shoo-Ing Monks in order to find her. Later, it turned out she was the lead monk, and faced Barry. Barry outsmarted her when he made her say the one word that a Shoo-Ing monk wasn't allowed to say - atchoo! Maddie was captured by MI7, while Barry was made the head of the Shoo-Ing Monks (The Men from the Monastery). With Maddie captured, the Brothers were allowed to relax... until they discovered the fake ruby was the real one! Murk, still at large, got hold of the Weather Machine and started to mess up the weather. The Brothers stopped Murk and disabled the Weather Machine... only to make it snow again! (A Change in the Weather) However, by the fifteenth series, the weather had returned to normal.Sir Carrington-Smith reappeared in the three-part "Magnetic Distraction", now working for MI2. It is unknown if any more loose threads from this series will come back in future series.
