Postage stamps of Tibet

Tibet began issuing postage stamps in the beginning of the XXth century. The first stamps were issued in Lhasa in 1912, other series of stamps were issue in 1914, 1933, up to end of the 50’s.

Tibet stamps had a figure of a snowlion, the national emblem of Tibet, they were marked in Tibetan characters meaning "Tibet Government" and in English by "Tibet". [ [http://www.tibet.com/status/kazi.html A brief account of Mr. Sonam T. Kazi's experience in Tibet before the Chinese Invasion] ]
