Black Funeral started as a Black Metal band called Sorath. They changed their name to Black Funeral and played a few live shows after they got signed to their record label, Behemoth Productions. They also appeared on the "A Tribute To Hell - Satanic Rites" compilation CD of Black Metal bands, released by Full Moon Productions, with an exclusive song of theirs. Baron, of the band is a Black Magic expert and has released CD's with live recorded speeches, Dark Ambeint music and live rituals.
