Stephen Barackman

Stephen Barackman is the President of California based brokerage firm BIB of CA that engages in financial & professional liability insurance placements & risk management services. Born the son of an insurance proprietor in 1976 in Kansas City, MO, he graduated from the University of Kansas in 1999.

At Marsh & McLennan

Barackman rose from a six month customer service representative at Marsh LA Los Angeles, California to become Vice President of FINPRO Marsh USA New York. Under his direction at the age of 25, the company engaged in insurance and contingent capital arrangements with the CA State Bar Association/Arch Insurance Group (San Francisco, California).and most notably placement work with insurers of technology merger & acquisition representation and warranty statements (insurable risks). Barackman is also markedly known for merging the combined leveraged position of Putnum Investments & Mercer Consulting for growth within the middle market of the Southern California region. With Eliot Spitzer's ongoing investigation of Marsh brokerage schemes, Barackman leaves the company and plays a limited role in insurance for almost a year while residing in Los Angeles (Manhattan Beach, California) and earning a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) credential with the Professional Liability Underwriters Society Minneapolis, MN , becoming an Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI) with the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices, LTD. Kansas City, MO and gaining distinguished membership to the Beverly Hills Bar Association (Beverly Hills, California).

At Countrywide

In 2005, Barackman assumed an Executive Vice President position at Countrywide Financial Corporation Calabasas, California. There he built several innovative insurance programs in a partnership with Balboa Insurance Group of CA Irvine, California. Most notably, Barackman unexpectadly left the company 3 months following Stan Kurland's (President CFC) resignation. CFC stock, at the time of Barackman's departure, reached an all time high of 48.5, however, no investigation has ever been conducted or initiated into Barackman's cash, stock and deferred benefits. CFC management marks his severance package as perversed with incentives. In July 2008 CFC was acquired by Bank of America Charlotte, NC.

BIB of CA

Barackman is currently President and Founder of BIB of CA who specialize in complex monetary liability insurance and contingent capital agreements. In addition, he holds a surplus lines license in the State of CA and is non resident licensed in NY, NJ, TX, AZ & HI.
