Chandrashekhar Shankar Dharmadhikari

Chandrashekhar Shankar Dharmadhikari ( C.S.Dharmadhikari) is an Indian independence movement activist, a lawyer, a judge and an author. He was acting chief justice of Bombay High Court. He was awarded Padma Bhushan in 2003. He was born in Raipur in 1927 and studied at Nagpur Universityin Maharashtra. He has authored many books in Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati. He is son of Dada Dharmadhikari.

As of Sept. 2011 he is chairman of the Bombay High Court appointed Committee to Monitor Animal Welfare Laws in Maharashtra. His son Satyaranjan Dharmadhikari is also a sitting Bombay High Court judge.
