History

This organisation is relatively young and it had begun as a personal web-sitea of one of the most important persons of Kemetism in France, Sat-Aset (in Egyptian "Daughter of Aset"), who created the first french Kemetic web-site.

Little bit later (13 May 2003) there was established Yahoo-group Ta Noutri, to speak and exchange experiences with others Kemetics in France. This group was than the base for the aborning organization and in November of that year was created the first forum.

During the year 2004 appearance of some other motivated members in the Yahoo group engage a beginning of reflexion. They wish to create a website and forumboard together, which happened in September 2004 and that was the first version of Ta Noutri web-site. Less than year later Ta Noutri bought own domain, where is now the official web-site and their forum. Despite that they are acting like non-profit organization, the don't have this status officially yet. However preparations to get official status are in progress. Charte Ta Noutri

As every organisation also Ta Noutri has its goals as well as its principles (or rules) for its members [ [http://www.ta-noutri.com/tanoutri/pages/charte-tanoutri.htm Charte Ta Noutri pour le site Internet TA NOUTRI] Fr icon] [ [http://www.ta-noutri.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=78&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a Ta Noutri goals and principles] En icon] .

Goals

"1 - A public representation"
Ta Noutri wants to represent Kemetic religion on the web, and to show by its actions a healthy Kemetic spirituality. Ta noutri wants to prevent the exploitation of ancient Egyptian culture for harmful ends (for example: cults that exploit members psychologically and/or financially).

"2 - The development and research around a spiritual Kemetic identity"
Ta Noutri wants to encourage the development of a healthy and stable base of Kemetic spiritual identity with serious studies, meetings and dialogues.

"3 - Meeting and sharing"
Ta Noutri wants to help Kemetics share their spirituality with others by facilitating meetings. Ta Noutri makes their website and forum available to its members to organize meetings and workgroups about the Kemetic religion.

"4 - To consider daily life and spirituality as something sacred"
Ta Noutri suggests dialogues about the importance of the sacred in daily life and the applications of Kemetic teachings in our modern societies.

Principles

"1 – Humility and respect"
Ta Noutri’s members don’t consider themselves to be holders of THE TRUTH. They are each searching for their truth. Consequently, they respect the choices of others from different religions or traditions.

"2 – A non-exclusive representation of Kemetic religion"
Ta Noutri does not reserve exclusive rights to the representation of Kemetic faith in France or in the world. If other serious groups emerge, Ta Noutri is open to dialogue and gathering with other groups and people sharing our spirituality and our moral principles.

"3 - To fight against discrimination, to promote the respect of human dignity and to respect the authority of the French State"
Ta Noutri rejects any form of discrimination, be it racial, cultural, sexual or religious. Ta Noutri adheres to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. Ta Noutri unreservedly and unambiguously condemns all practices which do not respect human dignity. Ta Noutri's activities are carried out peacefully and are in accordance with freedom of thought. Ta Noutri prohibits itself from breaking the laws of the country, creating any disturbance, or challenging the authority of the state.

"4 – The status of persons under 18 (children and teenagers)"
Persons under 18 (children and teenagers) are not authorized to take part in meetings organized via Ta Noutri. In the forum, they are not allowed to participate to the private lounge called "PER ANKH". Per Ankh is a place dedicated to the study of spirituality, which requires a certain maturity. We consider that the choice of spirituality is a significant decision, and is therefore the choice of a mature adult, who is not pressured or easily influenced. The rest of the forum is open to people under 18 to answer their questions and those of their parents.

"5 - A shared passion"
Ta Noutri is a place to share our passions, our spirituality, and our knowledge about ancient Egypt. It is not a place for proselytizing.

"6 - Prohibition of proselytism and respect of free-will"
Ta Noutri considers proselytism as any attempt to bring a person to the Kemetic religion in a direct or indirect way against a persons wishes or desires. This can be through force, blackmail, pressure, deception, etc. Ta Noutri does not consider as proselytism the promotion of Ta Noutri and the Kemetic faith for information purposes. Ta Noutri does not use any method of persuasion or manipulation against individuals. Ta Noutri does not have a missionary vocation.
