List of descendants of Charles I of England

The descendents of Charles I of England, Stuart monarch of the Kingdom of England, Kingdom of Scotland and Kingdom of Ireland, are numerous; lines of several of his children exist to this day. Charles's wife was the Bourbon princess Henrietta Maria, with her he had nine children, five of which lived longer than their teens. This article deals with the most senior figures who were descended from Charles' children. Several of Charles' descendents have been major players in the shaping of history on the islands of Great Britain and Ireland.

Charles II of England

All of Charles II's children were illegitimate and thus never took to the throne; he had seven sons however, the lines of several of his children exist to this day. The most senior are those descended from his first son James Scott, 1st Duke of Monmouth.
