Borjomi wildfire

'2008 Borjomi wildfires started on August 16, 2008 after shelling Borjomi Gorge, Georgia, by the Russian miltary aircraft.Fact|date=August 2008 The extinguishing was complicated by the ongoing conflict in the area and airspace restriction for the Georgian aircrafts. The Georgian government assessed the bombardment, led to the fire as ecocide.

As on August 22, 500 ha of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park have burned off.
