RTA TV

RTA TV, Radio and Television in Afghanistan, is an Afghan television channel.

Afghanistan Television started during the period of President Mohammad Daud in 1353 (1974 CE). After the completion of feasibility study under the Grant Aid of the Government of Japan construction work of the studio and transmitter buildings started and finished by the year 1357 (1974 CE). Officially this center was put into operation in 1361 (on August 1978).

Radio and Television in Afghanistan started with Radio Kabul in 1304 (1925 CE), during the era of King Amanullah Khan, two radio transmitters with the capacity of 400 watt were procured from the German company of Telephonkan, one of those has been installed on Koti Londoni near the bridge of Artel which subsequently started to its operation and the second one had been transferred to Kandahar which on that period the musical programs and news were only being broadcasted for few hours."'
