Everybody Loves a Lover

Everybody Loves a Lover

"Everybody Loves a Lover" is a popular song.

The writers were both people who were best known for collaborations with other partners. The music was written by Robert Allen (whose songs were usually collaborations with Al Stillman) and the lyrics by Richard Adler (after the 1955 death of his usual partner Jerry Ross).

The recording by Doris Day was released by Columbia Records as catalog number 41195. It first reached the Billboard magazine charts on July 21, 1958. On the Disk Jockey chart, it peaked at #6; on the Best Seller chart, at #17; on the Hot 100 composite chart, it reached #14. [cite book
