"Peculator" is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Volutomitridae, the mitres.

Distribution

These mitres are endemic to Australia and New Zealand.

Description

The small shells are ovate, obesely ovate-biconic, or narrowly ovate to subcylindrical, with a narrow aperture and three or four strong, distant columellar plaits.
