List of Blade of the Immortal episodes

This is a list of episodes of the nihongo|"Blade of the Immortal"|無限の住人|Mugen no Jūnin|lit. "The Inhabitant of Infinity" anime. The episodes are directed by Koichi Mashimo and produced by Bee Train, Production I.G, and Pony Canyon.cite web|url=http://mugen.kc.kodansha.co.jp/staffcast.html|title=Kodansha: Blade of the Immortal - Staff/Cast|language=Japanese|publisher=Kodansha|accessdate=2008-07-19] Bee Train was responsible for the animation production, Pony Canyon produced the music for the series, and Yoshimitsu Yamashita designed the characters. The plot of the episodes is based on the "Blade of the Immortal" manga series Hiroaki Samura, and follows the adventures of Manji, a samurai cursed with immortality due to killing one hundred men. The first announcement of the "Blade of the Immortal" anime was in the "Afternoon" magazine published by Kodansha, the same magazine that the "Blade of the Immortal" manga is serialized in.cite web|url=http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/manga.php?id=1612|title=Blade of the Immortal TV Anime Confirmed for Summer (Updated)|publisher=Anime News Network|date=2008-03-23|accessdate=2008-07-19] The episodes began airing on July 13, 2008 on AT-X.

Two pieces of theme music are used for the episodes: one opening theme and one closing theme. The opening theme is nihongo|"Red Rabbit"|赤いウサギ|Akai Usagi by The Pillow Book, and the closing theme is "wants" by GRAPEVINE. Seven DVD compilations have been announced for release by Pony Canyon.
