SubUrbia

SubUrbia

"subUrbia" is an Off-Broadway stageplay by Eric Bogosian set against the nighttime activities of a group of aimless 20-somethings and a reunion with a former high school classmate who has become a successful musician. It's a slacker version of Eugene O'Neill's "The Iceman Cometh" with the musician Pony's return giving the lie to the excuses the rest use to remain stuck in their meaningless dead-end hometown existences.Or|date=March 2008 A film version of the play was made in 1996 starring Steve Zahn, Parker Posey and Giovanni Ribisi. The play was recently done onstage at Second Stage Theatre with Kieran Culkin, Gaby Hoffmann and Jessica Capshaw.
