Liman, Israel

Liman (Hebrew: לימן) is a moshav in the Western Galilee in northern Israel, located about 5 km north of Nahariya. It belongs to the Mateh Asher Regional Council and the Moshavim Movement.

The community was founded in 1949 by a group of freed soldiers on the abandoned village az-Zeeb which they originally called Tzahal. Afterward its name was changed to Liman to honor the American senator Herbert H. Lehman. Its area is about 2400 dunams. Most residents work in agriculture, such as plantings and chicken raising.
