Andrejs Štolcers (born August 7, 1974 in Riga, Latvia) is a professional football player who now plays for JFK Olimps Rīga. He is regarded as one of the best football dribblers in world in his generation.

Club career

accessdate = 2008-01-07 ] He moved to Skonto Riga in 1996 where he scored 15 goals in 49 appearances. In 1997 he moved to Ukraine to play for Shakhtar Donetsk, where he scored 14 goals in 48 matches. In 2000 he moved to Russia to play for Spartak Moscow, but made just 12 appearances, scoring 5 goals before moving to England later that same year to play for Fulham in the FA Premier League. In four years at the club he played just 25 matches, scoring two goals.

In 2004 he moved to Football League One club, Yeovil Town, scoring four goals in 36 matches, and on 8 July 2005 moved to Azerbaijan to play for FK Baku on a free transfer. In 2006 he returned to Latvia to once again play for Skonto FC. And in 2007 he moved to his first club, JFK Olimps Rīga.

International career

His international debut came in a 0-0 draw against Denmark on 26 August 1992. Since then, he has represented his country 81 times and scored seven goals. He played in the 2004 European Championships, held in Portugal.

Now he's player and assistant coach both in one to JFK Olimps Rīga club.
