We Are The Champions was a long-running BBC children's sport competition presented by Ron Pickering. The show was voted #77 of Channel 4's 100 Greatest Kids' TV shows in 2001.

The first edition was broadcast on 13 June 1973, and was between Chalkestone Middle School of Haverhill and Denbigh High School of Luton. The special guest was Clive Sullivan.

The series ran until 13 August 1987, when the final of that year's competition was held at Wombourne Leisure Centre. Special one-off editions for disabled children continued to be aired until 1995.

A whole host of sports personalities appeared on the show over the years. They included Lynn Davies, David Starbrook, David Hemery, Donna Hartley, Daley Thompson, David Wilkie, David Moorcroft, Duncan Goodhew, Cameron Sharp, Kenny Dalglish, Yvonne Murray, Allan Wells, and many others.
