transport=MAUS means "Mina Antiuomo Seminabile" which translated is "Antipersonnel Scatter Mine", this is an Italian, plastic-made
landmine designed for rapid placement on the minefields either by helicopter, hand-drop or other ground vehicle. This is a tactical, high explosive antipersonnel landmine which uses an integral, safety pin armed, pressure actuated, pneumatic fuse, which is designed to withstand explosive overpressure for short duration and deployment impact. This mine has alsowaterproof , so it can be placed to one meter depth. The MAUS and MAUS/1 are identical except the MAUS/1 has an additional plug that either provides access to the expansion bulb or possibly acts as a vent from the diaphragm.References
