Cafeteria-style restaurant

Cafeteria-style restaurants are restaurants set up similar to a cafeteria, where a variety of food is available, and the patrons usually slide a tray down the line, selecting which foods they want. They then pay based on a grouping, (for example 1 meat, 1 vegetable, 1 potato, and a desert) or price-per-item (À la carte).
