Linda Robson (born 13 March 1958 in Islington, London [Robson born Islington http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-2324414.html] ) is an English actress. She is probably most famous for her role as Tracey in the BBC comedy, "Birds of a Feather", which she played from 1989 to 1998.

Personal life & Education

Robson was educated at Ecclesbourne Primary School, and at the private, fee-paying Anna Scher Theatre School, both in her native Islington.

She continues to reside in Islington, North London with her husband and three children.

She appeared on Richard and Judy on 4 July 2008, due to the death of 16 year old Ben Kinsella who was murdered after being stabbed to death 8 times by youths. He died in the arms of his friend Louis Robson, who is Linda's son.

Career

Linda Robson has had many roles in programmes such as the comedy drama "Shine on Harvey Moon" in 1982. As well as appearing in the IRA drama "Harry's Game".

As noted above she is best known for play Tracey in the hit BBC comedy, "Birds of a Feather".

Since then she has appeared in such programmes as "The Bill" and "Crossroads".

Linda appeared along with Jenny Eclair and Dillie Keane in the original cast of "Grumpy Old Women Live", a spin-off from the television series, written by Jenny Eclair and Judith Holder.

Linda also appeared in the Channel 4 series "Come Dine With Me" in 2006, in which she came last, and is an occasional guest presenter for BBC London 94.9, the BBC's local radio station for London.

On August 9th 2007, She narrated a show for ITV called "Britain's Youngest Brides".

Linda joined friend and cast member Pauline Quirke on The Paul O'Grady Show on 1st November 2007.

In July 2008, Linda entered Celebrity Masterchef, and made it to the semi-finals.

Reality TV

She has also appeared in numerous reality TV and game shows, including "Dick Turpin", "I'm Famous and Frightened!", "Celebrity Blind Man's Bluff", "Come Dine With Me", "Celebrities Under Pressure", "The Weakest Link", "Celebrity Hide and Seek" and Cold Feet and "Comic Relief does Fame Academy" but was evicted on the third show.
