Turnbull AC's (gang)

Turnbull AC's (gang)

The Turnbull AC's are a gang in the film and video game, "The Warriors". Their turf is near Gun Hill Road in the Bronx, and reaches into Pelham. The gang is of mixed races, all the members have shaved heads and wear denim vests with their logo on the back, their primary method of transportation is a battered old school bus painted a dark green. They are the first gang that the Warriors encounter after the summit. In the film, the encounter is extremely brief, with the Warriors merely running away from the Turnbulls in an alleyway.

The Video Game

In the video game, however, the Turnbulls are encountered in two levels. In "Boys in Blue", after a cop gets by the Rogues in Pelham, a gang curfew is put into effect. Two of the Warriors, Snow and Fox, were in Pelham at the time, looking for information on Cyrus' plans. Cochise, accompanied by Vermin and Cowboy, arrives in a locked subway station and must throw a Turnbull in front of a train to get the cops to unlock the station, the Warriors then fight their way through Turnbull terrority to rescue Fox and Snow. While heading to the Turnbulls' club, The Red Devil, the Warriors overhear a crippled Turnbull lieutenant named Birdie, talks about how he and some of the other Turnbulls wasted two Warriors. Birdie plans to finish off the two and "roll over their nuts" in his wheelchair. Birdie leaves the area and the Warriors find Snow and Fox. Cochise sends Cowboy back to Coney with Fox and Snow, and some time later, Ajax comes with four of the New Blood Warriors. The seven Warriors fight the Turnbulls gathered in the Red Devil and learn that Birdie is at the Refinery with his brother. Birdie is killed by the Warriors after a fight in the Refinery. The second encounter occurs in "Desperate Dudes," the first level after the conclave. This level follows the film encounter with the Turnbulls. In this level, the Warriors must fight their way through Turnbull turf to the subway station. The last portion of the level re-enacts the iconic bus chase scene from the film. Conversation snippets reveal that the Turnbulls, like every other gang in NYC are enraged over Cyrus' murder, they also imply that they know the Warriors are in Pelham and that they want the Warriors wasted. The context of the conversation implies that the Turnbulls want the Warriors wasted as vengance for the death of Birdie, however, it also seems to be implied that they want the Warriors dead for shooting Cyrus.
