ong information

"I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" is a mid-tempo song that samples DeBarge's "Stay with Me" and slightly recalls the melodic riff of the "Hill Street Blues" theme music. [ [http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,330759,00.html FOXNews.com - Diva Alert: Mariah, Janet CDs Previewed - Celebrity Gossip | Entertainment News | Arts And Entertainment ] ] The song is referencing the phrase "love you long time" that was said by the Da Nang Hooker in Full Metal Jacket, which was later sampled in 2 Live Crew's "Me So Horny". [The song was talked about in MTV News. The phrase was used many times in songs by the likes of Nelly Furtado(Maneater) and Fergie(London Bridge. Both of the female singers said that, to them, the phrase is an enpowerment to women. Margaret Cho and the Asian Community saw it as a racial slur. "Slant Magazine" said that the song is "everything you want" and that it shows "Mariah simultaneously in ridiculous mode and also pathologically free of irony or self-awareness."
