Archibald Skirving

Archibald Skirving

Archibald Skirving (1749 - 1819) was a Scottish portrait painter. He was born at Athelstaneford near Haddington and died at Inveresk Lodge, Inveresk, East Lothian, Scotland.

His portrait of Robert Burns is in the National Burns Collection, and some of his portraits are in the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh.
