Captain Klaus Scholtz (22 March 1908 – 1 May 1987) was a famous "Kapitänleutnant" with the Kriegsmarine during World War II. He sailed with the U-108, sinking twenty-four ships on seven patrols, for a total of 111.546 tons of Allied shipping.

On 13 April 1941 U 108 under the command of Scholtz attacked and sank the SS "Rajputana".

After the war he served from 1953 to 1956 in the naval arm of the Bundesgrenzschutz (Federal Border Guard), then transferred to the Bundesmarine. He was commander of several naval bases, including Kiel, Cuxhaven and Wilhelmshaven. He retired in 1966 as Kapitän zur See.
