Wilms' tumour
Childhood kidney tumour. Like retinoblastoma, both sporadic and inherited forms occur. Believed to be caused by development of homozygosity for a deletion mutation of the tip of the short arm of chromosome 11, which is presumed to contain a tumour suppressor gene.
