MARPS
(= microtubule repetitive proteins MARP-1 and MARP-2)
Heat-stable high molecular weight proteins (ca 320 kD) with many 38 residue repeats. Isolated from membrane skeleton of Trypanosoma brucei ; probably stabilize microtubules - each repeat has tubulin-binding activity.
