hybrid dysgenesis

hybrid dysgenesis
Genetic phenomenon, in which two strains of organism produce offspring at anomalously low rates. Example: the P-M system of Drosophila, in which P-strain males (containing multiple P elements) mated to M-strain females produce sterile hybrids.
