capZ
Microfilament capping protein (32-36 kD) found in Dictyostelium and Acanthamoeba and that binds to the barbed ends of thin filaments in the Z-disc of striated muscle. Widely distributed in vertebrate cells, though in non-muscle cells is predominantly in the nucleus. Identical to b -actinin. Some isoforms may bind to the pointed ends of microfilaments.
