Florida rig
a method of securing a hook to a soft bait so it does not become entangled in weeds. It resembles a Texas rig but the weight is secured by screwing into the bait. A slip sinker is threaded onto the line and a hook tied to the line end. The hook is inserted into the head of a worm, for example, and brought through until only the eye is in the worm. The hook is then rotated and the point embedded slightly into the worm without coming out on the opposite side
