1) the eelpout Gymnelus viridis (family Zoarcidae) found in circumpolar Arctic marine waters. The reason for its name is unknown, it may "clean" parasites from other fishes
2) the salve bug, Aega psora, an isopod crustacean parasite on cod and halibut. Used by fishermen in the preparation of a salve
