Ajouan Aj"ou*an ||Ajowan Aj"ow*an, n. [Written also {ajwain}.] [Prob. native name.] (Bot.) The fruit of {Ammi Copticum}, syn. {Carum Ajowan}, used both as a medicine and as a condiment.
