Hexokinase
Hexokinase Hex"o*kin"ase, n. [Hexose + -kinase.] (Biochem.) an enzyme catalyzing the transfer of a phosphate residue from ATP to a hexose, as in the formation of glucose-6-phosphate from glucose. [PJC]
