Gatten tree Gat"ten tree` [Cf. Prov. E. gatter bush.] (Bot.) A name given to the small trees called guelder-rose ({Viburnum Opulus}), cornel ({Cornus sanguinea}), and spindle tree ({Euonymus Europ[ae]us}). [1913 Webster]
