Clinch Clinch (kl[i^]nch; 224), v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Clinched}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Clinching}.] [OE. clenchen, prop. causative of clink to cause to clink, to strike; cf. D. klinken to tinkle, rivet.
