Chowder Chow"der (chou"d[~e]r), n. [F. chaudi[`e]re a kettle, a pot. Cf. {Caldron}.] 1. (Cookery) A dish made of fresh fish or clams, biscuit, onions, etc., stewed together. [1913 Webster]
