Chaetodont Ch[ae]"to*dont, n. [Gr. chai`th hair + ?, ?, tooth.] (Zo["o]l.) A marine fish of the family {Ch[ae]todontid[ae]}. The ch[ae]todonts have broad, compressed bodies, and usually bright colors. [1913 Webster]
