Cash Cash, n. sing. & pl. A Chinese coin. [1913 Webster]

Note: In 1913 the cash (Chinese tsien) was the only current coin made by the chinese government. It is a thin circular disk of a very base alloy of copper, with a square hole in the center. 1,000 to 1,400 cash were equivalent to a dollar. [1913 Webster +PJC]
