Brettice Bret"tice, n.; pl. {Brettices}. [OE. bretasce, bretage, parapet, OF. bretesche wooden tower, F. bret[`e]che, LL. breteschia, bertresca, prob. fr. OHG. bret, G. brett board; akin to E. board.
