Branchiae
Branchia Bran"chi*a, n.; pl. {Branchi[ae]}. [L., fr. Gr. ?, pl. of ?.] (Anat.) A gill; a respiratory organ for breathing the air contained in water, such as many aquatic and semiaquatic animals have. [1913 Webster]
