Vervet Ver"vet, n. (Zo["o]l.) A South African monkey ({Cercopithecus pygerythrus} syn. {Cercopithecus Lelandii}). The upper parts are grayish green, finely specked with black. The cheeks and belly are reddish white. [1913 Webster]
