Verbose Ver*bose", a. [L. verbosus, from verbum a word. See {Verb}.] Abounding in words; using or containing more words than are necessary; tedious by a multiplicity of words; prolix; wordy; as, a verbose speaker; a verbose argument. [1913 Webster]
